There are a lot of different items or things I would say I am very skilled at. I can say I can drive a car very well or maybe throw the football mile. But to me none of those skills compare to this one skill. This one skill affects all of the other skills for the better. The skill I am talking about is the skill at being dedicated at anything I do. I consider this to be my most important skill because without me being dedicated I wouldn’t be at the place I would be at. To me Dedicated means that everything you do you give it 110% on everything I do. But also dedicated to me means that if i have not perfected that certain goal or objective I will work and keep working till I have mastered that certain goal that i wanted to achieve.
The first example that comes to my mind where I used this skill. I was about 8 years old. I was just about to enter my 3rd year of playing tackle football and the year before that I was playing Center. But this year is going to be different. This year I will be playing the Position I have been wanting to play since I first started playing football and this year was my year that I was going to make this a possibility. When I first started practicing at this position my footwork was really slow and sloppy and it was affecting me from being able to make the handoffs and for the play to be a successful one. So in my off time I would go out in my driveway and put 5 comes out to resemble the 5 lineman and the holes that I needed to be at. Then for that whole day I would do that play over and over again. I could make the handoff without any mistakes. This is just one of the examples I have to be dedicated to. But it is also by me being dedicated to that sport and position that also turned me into what I am now. Without me being dedicated to Playing Quarterback i wouldn’t be able to continue playing in College or even have the opportunity to be able to play in College.
The next Example of being dedicated comes to my school life. When I first entered highschool I slacked off my first year of freshman year and did not achieve very good grades. So going into my second semester I had to make sure that I put my nose to the grindstone to make sure my gpa got higher to make sure I had the opportunity to be able to achieve my dream to play football in college. So I was dedicated to my schools and at the end of that semester I was able to earn a 3.3 Gpa.
To me Being dedicated is making sure you are giving your all to something and if you’re not perfect at something to practice at that certain thing to make sure you are perfect at it. That is why I am good at being Dedicated
